December 2025 Board Meeting

WHNC was pleased to welcome District 12 Councilmember John Lee, LAFD Chief Jamie E. Moore, LAFD Fire Captain Ruben Lopez, LAFD Deputy Chief Luis Aldana and LAPD Captain Vincent DiMauro to our December 4 Board meeting.  Aida Abkarians, Board Vice President, and Councilmember Lee, co-sponsor of the "2025 Halloween Houses on Display Competition", awarded trophies and Certificates of Appreciation to contest winners.  Business owners were acknowledged with Certificates of Appreciation for generously donating product and gift certificates to support the Halloween event.  Also, individual artwork boards for business supporters were specially created by Aida, our "resident" artist.  Representatives from the LAPD, City officials, the entertainment industry and freelance writer professionals, and the Chamber of Commerce received Certificates of Appreciation for serving as judges.  During the Board meeting Councilmember Lee officiated the swearing in of our newest Board member, Melissa Findling.
