Saif Mogri
My name is Saifuddin (Saif) Mogri. I was born in Bangladesh and came to the USA in 1975 as a student to the University of Texas at Austin. I graduated in 1981 with a Bachelors and Masters in Electrical Engineering. I joined the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) in 1981 and retired after 35 years of service in 2016. In my last assignment at LADWP, I was responsible for nearly a $750 million budget for a project in the State of Utah. Since my retirement I have continued working as a part time consultant. I also possess an MBA from University of La Verne in Southern California.
I had the privilege of becoming a citizen of this great country in 1988 and raising my family in this wonderful country. I have been a member of the Community Police Advisory Board (CPAB) since its inception in 2009. I served as the secretary of CPAB for the first couple of years and am presently the Assistant Co-Chair. I am a Director on the Board and also serve as the treasurer of Masjid Ezzi, a mosque located in Woodland Hills.
I have lived in wonderful West Hills since 1997 and really enjoy being a part of this great community and serving the West Hills Community as a Board Member of West Hills Neighborhood Council. I serve on several committees and am the co-chair of the Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness Committee. I was recently elected as the Controller and look forward to serving in this capacity.
