We are lucky to have a group of committed volunteers who devote one Saturday a month to personally handle clean up logistics. Each Beautification project requires loading and unloading six times from beginning to end. That's two hours PLUS the actual 3-hour clean up work!
A Clean Up Requires: Drive to storage units, load van and truck with tent, tables, chairs, parking cones, large number of power tools with batteries, short and long-handled clippers, brooms, shovels, standing dust pans, trash cans and trash bags, volunteer vests, water, cartons with snacks, paperwork, brochures and a first-aid kit. Drive to the site, unload and set everything up, check in volunteers, issue vests, explain the process, answer questions and hand out tools. Clean up is over, inventory equipment, load everything into the van and truck, drive to storage units and unload. Whew!
