As the leaves turn color and Halloween approaches get ready for a Spooktacular
experience at the 6th Annual West Hills Halloween Houses on Display. Through
HALLOWEEN the West Hills Community is transformed into a haunted wonderland
featuring over 30 creatively decorated homes, including 8 award winning displays
(watch for the lawn signs) that will make your spine tingle with excitement!
Come and see this delightfully eerie event that once again promises thrills and
chills and plenty of laughs.
This year the event boasts a prestigious honor from the Topanga Station of the
LAPD who have joined the festivities by awarding one of the stand-out houses
their Captains Award. And in a twist that could only happen in a Halloween tale,
Councilmember John Lee and CD12 decided they simply could not choose
between two equally terrifying spine-chilling houses, so they awarded both! It’s a
spooky showdown you won’t want to miss. So, prepare for a mesmerizing
experience as you wander through an Enchanted Forest where trees might just
whisper secrets or grab you as you roam around and navigate eerie graveyards
that could give even the bravest souls a shiver. Keep your eyes open for animated
spooks hiding in the branches—those playful ghouls known for their jump scares
and giggles. Hold onto your children and leashed pets as you come upon a certain
yard rumored to be so creepy that’s its left visitors with sleepless nights. But
don’t worry, there may be a skeleton nurse on duty ready to provide mouth to
bone resuscitation.
A free event that has been mentioned on local television three years in a row, and
running through Halloween. So gather your family and friends and even a ghost or
two for an unforgettable Halloween experience. “Better than Disneyland” said an
8-year-old visitor last year as he saw a 12’ Beetlejuice. Whether you are young or
young at heart the West Hills Halloween Houses will leave you howling with
delight.
PLEASE RESPECT THE DISPLAYS AND OTHER VISITORS
AND BE CAREFUL PARKING YOUR CAR.
Thank you, participants for your extraordinary creativity and for sharing the fun and spirit of Halloween with the many people who live locally or in other communities.
