*Restore Local Control to City Planning! At the March 5, 2026 Board Meeting, a Letter requesting a Motion to restore local control to L.A. City Planning and delay advancement of Community Plans was approved.
*L.A. City Charter Reform-Council File 25-0869. The Charter governs the structure and operation of City government. Charter Reform Commission website On January 8, 2026 the Board approved WHNC's recommendations for a CIS (Community Impact Statement) to submit to the Charter Reform Commission (March 10, 2026) WHNC Recommendations for City Charter Reforms On January 21, 2026 LANCC (Los Angeles Neighborhood Council Coalition) submitted their recommendations for Charter Reform.
*West Hills Family Apartments" Project- INFORMATION FLYER for the April 21, 2026 Zoning & Planning Committee meeting! The new owner and developer of the 161-unit "West Hills Family Apartments", located at 7556 N. Woodlake Avenue, will be making a presentation to the committee and the community. WHNC and the Council office have been in discussions with the developer to learn more about the project. Note: The meeting will be held at de Toledo High School, 22622 Vanowen Street.
