We'll be having a TOY DRIVE at the West Hills Neighborhood Council Board meeting, to be held on Thursday, December 5th, 7:00pm at de Toledo High School, located at 22622 Vanowen St.
Please bring a New Unwrapped Toy for our collection box. The toys will be distributed to local charities for distribution.
Come and have a refreshment with us and help to make the holidays happy for children in need of some Joy.

Southwest Valley Community Plans
Great News! The City Council PLUM Committee met on Tuesday, November 19, 2024 and voted unanimously to support Draft #3 without Exhibit D options of the CHIP Housing Incentive Program. Previously, on September 26, 2024 The City Planning Department and the Planning Commission agreed that housing needs can be met without rezoning single-family neighborhoods, coastal zones and high-fire areas.
We thank everyone who took the time to send their comments and statements to City Planning, City Councilmembers and/or submitted a public comment online. But this issue still needs to be finalized and it now goes to the full City Council for approval and timing is urgent. And we acknowledge with special thanks to our Councilmember John Lee, representing the 12th District, for his support and approval of the Draft.
Chaminade Expansion
The Entitlement Hearing scheduled for October 24, 2024 has been postponed to January 2025.
Woodlake Apts (Circle S Ranch Property)
WHNC sent a October 17, 2024 letter to City Planning against the proposed project. We were notified that City Planning will complete their review no later than December 6, 2024.
Starbucks 24-Hr Drive Thru Coffee Shop
Proposed on Platt Avenue where Pizza Hut was located. Waiting for more information from the company.
