As the leaves turn color and Halloween approaches get ready for a Spooktacular experience at the 6th Annual West Hills Halloween Houses on Display. Through HALLOWEEN the West Hills Community is transformed into a haunted wonderland featuring over 30 creatively decorated homes, including 8 award winning displays (watch for the lawn signs) that will make your spine tingle with excitement! Come and see this delightfully eerie event that once again promises thrills and chills and plenty of laughs.

Thank you KCAL TV for promoting our WHNC Halloween Houses with three segments: 7:00am  featuring the Lopez house (Most Scary Award); 8:00pm featuring the Chapman house (Captain's Award); and one in the 9:00pm hour featuring the Walt Stewart house (Councilman's Award).  For the third year in a row, we are the only Halloween event this large in Los Angeles County. 

And there is not much time left to experience these spectacularly spooky displays!

Southwest Valley Community Plans

At the September 26, 2024 hearing, the City Planning Commission agreed with the City Planning's report that Draft #3 without Exhibit D options of the Housing Incentive Program meets housing needs without rezoning single-family neighborhoods. The City Council PLUM Committee will meet next to approve or disapprove the decision.  The Council File # has been assigned.

Chaminade Expansion

The Entitlement Hearing scheduled for October 24, 2024 has been postponed to December 19.

Woodlake Apts (Circle S Ranch Property)

WHNC sent a October 17, 2024 letter to City Planning against the proposed project.
